I can only hope that Kentucky will be an easy win for the Gators next week because Texas takes on UTEP which should be an easy one.

I never expected to want to watch the entire game, expected the Pats to kill the Bills from the start. I’ve gotta give it to Trent Edwards and the Bills’ offense for bringing it, too bad they couldn’t take it to the very end of the game. Still it gives me hope that perhaps Brady and the Pats won’t have another undefeated season this year. I don’t like it when one team is able to run the gauntlet, well, at least when it’s not one of MY teams!

Got to be sure to hear the predictions, whether from Hank Goldberg or the NBC and CBS panels of experts, love to hear what they have to say and get our own predictions down. Then we hope to get enough of the good games that we don’t regret not being able to get satellite in our apartment! Living in Texas, we usually get the Dallas and Houston games, and I try to monitor my Bucs and Seahawks on the crawls and revolving scores. Most of the games didn’t go my way this week, but my Seahawks DID beat the Rams, and the Giants beat Washington, so it’s not all bad. Here’s hoping Green Bay can come through against Chicago and maybe TO will make the Buffalo game on Monday night enjoyable!

Sam may be out anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks, so they may soon have no chance to get into the championship game this year. I had my hopes up for a moment watching the Alabama-Va Tech game, but Alabama pulled out a 10 point win and will be one to keep an eye on in the SEC Conference race.

And it’s easier to root for them with Percy Harvin, newly drafted from the Gators, on the team. But I still hoped that the Texans could beat them. Even Jaworski said some really good things about Shaub! And MNF is gonna be much more fun this season with Chucky on the reporting team!

This Thursday’s Survivor is the last before March Madness begins. Be sure to check out the bracketology here. It appears that the only impact it will have on Survivor’s schedule is that the 3/19 episode is on Wednesday and there will be no scheduled show the following week.

On Friday don’t forget to set your DVR to Fox for the pilot of The Return of Jezebel James, which marks the return to TV of Parker Posey and Dianne Wiest.

The New York Giants pulled off the biggest upset in the history of the NFL!

Now Eli can hold his head up when the Manning name is mentioned, knowing he has at least equalled if not surpassed Peyton’s accomplishments.

I can’t wait to see how the media is going to talk about the Giants and the Patriots now, especially about Coach Belichick’s bolting for the tunnel before the game was even over.

Congratulations to Eli and the gang, well deserved!

Next week we get the Super Bowl, then the Pro Bowl (if you like that kind of stuff), followed by the combine and the draft – so much to look forward to.  And even if you don’t get the NFL Network, at least you can watch NFL Total Access on MYNET on Saturday nights.

If you’re lucky enough to live in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Michigan, Tennessee, or Texas, look into the All-American Football League.  If you’re a Gator fan, you’ll be excited to see that Chris Leak is the quarterback for Team Florida!
