Are you as fired up about the NFL as I am? I know the top 4 this year probably aren’t the ones you expected, and SURE, maybe one of your favorite coaches won’t be coming back next year (did they REALLY fire Jon Gruden?!?) but isn’t it fun to see new faces doing well this season, like Joe Flacco of the Ravens, and Larry Fitzgerald of the Cardinals? So maybe the Superbowl this year will be a good, close game and, after all, isn’t that what we all want anyway? In any case, don’t miss the conference championships today, since these games determine who will show up in Tampa on February 1 for the big game!
Is the NFL overshadowing this day for me? Absolutely! Are there other shows that some people might prefer? I suppose so. In that light, don’t forget there are a few season premieres (Big Love on HBO; the l word on SHOWTIME; Flight of the Conchords on HBO; and The United States of Tara on SHOWTIME). I mention the season premiere of Secret Diary of a Call Girl on SHOWTIME separately because it stars one of my favorite companions of the Doctor, (Who that is), Rose Tyler, I mean Billie Piper!
