It’s being hinted that Cameron isn’t everything we thought she was. Derek Reese seems to think she is dangerous. Now that we’ve seen the backstory on how he and the other three protectors arrived in present time to stop Skynet and help John, perhaps Sarah and the others will be able to make strides toward that goal.
I’m not sure we’ve seen the last of Charley either, he doesn’t seem to be someone to go away when someone he loves may need his help.
