Law & Order - Driven - Review

Even the D.A. and Lt. Van Buren were surprised that justic was done when the jury found not only the man who actually killed the two teenagers guilty, but also the mother who bullied her teenagers to go back to the neighborhood basketball court to get their basketball, carrying baseball bats for their own self-defense as she said.

ally-walker.JPGAlly Walker, of Profiler, portrayed the mother in question, a woman living in a neighborhood where she was so unhappy that she filed complaints of litterers and people hanging out at all hours, keeping her awake with their music and loud conversations. She attributed these actions to a difference in culture, which we soon were told was racism.

In any case, I found the verdict to be perfect, the jury finding them not guilty of killing the boy, who was the one planning to go back anyway, even before the mom decided to give them bats and drive them over, but finding both adults guilty of killing the girl, an innocent after all. She was just unlucky enough to have been standing behind the boy when he got shot. The jury foreman said that without the actions of either one of these adults, the unnecessary deaths would not have occurred.
