Women’s Murder Club - FBI Guy - Review

Lindsay Boxer definitely has some issues. She has trouble accepting the fact that her ex-husband is her boss, and she insulates herself so much from Jacobi, her partner, that he feels betrayed. In this case it is because Lindsay knew the Kiss-Me-Not killer might be targetting her for his next victim but she failed to tell him. No wonder Jacobi takes her aside and yells at her, joe-flanigan-womensmurderclub.jpgbringing her practically to tears. Did she not even think about how she was putting him in danger without that knowledge?

And now the FBI guy, Agent John Ashe, portrayed by Joe Flanigan of Stargate Atlantis, thinks that Boxer really has no sympathy for the Kiss-Me-Not killer’s victims and he brings in the grieving parents of one of the victims to find that she really does care….too much. She takes him to her attic where her research of the Kiss-Me-Not killer is kept. She had worked on this case for 5 long years, given up everything she had, her marriage was ruined, her friendships were strained, and she’s afraid to get involved again because she feels that Elaine’s death is her fault for not solving the case sooner, not to mention that she may lose herself again. She asks him to please “let me let this go,” and he says “No.”

The case of the week is solved, with the murderer being portrayed by Patrick Bauchau, recently of Carnivale. After Boxer’s ex-husband introduces his wife to everyone in the squad room as Mrs. Heather Hogan, Lindsay tells Ashe that everyone wants to live the fairy tale. She immediately realizes that is the key to the Kiss-Me-Not killer: he’s trying to tell fairy tales with the ways that he arranges his victims.

That night, she calls her friends together to discuss the Kiss-Me-Not case. Ashe leaves them alone so Lindsay can tell them that she is now a target. Her D.A. friend, Jill, apologizes for having let Lindsay immerse herself in the case over the past 5 years without reaching out to her and she tells Lindsay that they are all there for her now and they won’t allow anything bad to happen to her.

It’s funny how the ongoing saga of the Kiss-Me-Not killer can be more interesting than the case of the week. This is the last show of the season, I certainly hope it will be allowed to continue.
