Nate and Jen, as well as Christina’s father, Ronald, vowed to turn over a new leaf and stop being argumentative. But, of course, they couldn’t. Jen, who had the Goths one step behind most of the show, even went so far as to say they had supernatural power and her final words about the Goths were: “They have witch powers or something.”

As for Ronald, he started nagging Christina early on, but really came on strong when they were working on the detour, pasting a movie poster, in pieces, to a wall. He returned to his annoying ways but finally realized Christina knew how best to complete the task.

Something that bugs me is how the destinations they race to often aren’t open when the first team arrives so they can’t take advantage of their speed. What’s the point of a race if all the teams get to catch up?

I prefer it more when a team can use their cunning to move ahead as The Goths, Kynt and Vyxsin, appeared to do when they acted as if they couldn’t find a flight as good as the others. Starting out in last place, they moved up to first place thanks to a little “performance art”.

Due to their arguing, Nate and Jen could not find the clue in the newspaper for quite some time. Kynt and Vyxsin had to perform their speed bump, a task no one else had to perform due to their being in last place from the previous week. They had to do some yoga moves and it actually helped to relax them for the upcoming tasks. The other task for the detour was to create a wedding garland. TK & Rachel, the hippies, thought they could do the garlands best because she had worked with flowers for several years and this task helped put them in first place.

Next was a Uturn where each team had an opportunity to turn another team behind them back to perform the other detour task. Nate and Jen were ready to Uturn the Goths but the Goths beat them to it. Unfortunately, Kynt and Vyxsin thought Nick and Don were behind them and Uturned them instead of Nate and Jen. This was the big mistake the Goths made that brought them to their inevitable fate of coming in last place again, this time to be eliminated.

I will really miss Kynt and Vyxsin and I’ll have to figure out who to pick as my favorite for the next few episodes. All I know is that Nate and Jen must not win!
