It starts off with the guys trying to get a school project for one of their daughter’s, a volcano, to work. How symbolic that they should be talking about women and their relationships as they keep peeking into the top of the volcano just hoping for an eruption.

Fight night at a retirement home, and fight night at the office. The theme of this show seemed to be “What is worth fighting for?”

The surfer dude, receptionist, midwife, Dell, is concerned about his grandpa’s bruises and thinks he and his friend, Nate, are being abused at the retirement home where they live. Dell brings them to see Sam and there isn’t enough evidence to investigate since Grandpa and Nate aren’t naomi-and-sam.jpgaccusing anyone. So Dell and Sam go over there at night and find the attendant happily watching tv because he’s been paid to look the other way. In the yard Dell and Sam find a fight going on between Grandpa and Nate and the other residents all betting on who will win.

Once that situation has been handled, Dell sees Sam and Naomi kissing across the lobby of the clinic and he decides he needs to confront Sam. He tells Sam that he is in love with Naomi and that he doesn’t appreciate Sam jerking Naomi around. Sam tells him to stay away from his wife, to which Dell reminds him “ex-wife.”

mcdonald.jpgLater Dell approaches Naomi and lets her know his feelings by kissing her, and she does not appear to be too upset about it. Dell then goes into the office kitchen, finding Pete there. He tells Pete that Naomi is worth fighting for. Domino effect that everything seems to be in this episode, sure enough, Pete decides to fight for his relationship with Addy and he goes to her house to find that she is not there. We get to see Addy and her new date, played by Christopher of Gilmore Girls, having their very first date.

I certainly hope Pete doesn’t give up and for that matter, same for Dell. Naomi deserves to be able to make choices in her life and not feel that she has to go back to her ex if, indeed, she wants to try out something new.
