ER - Skye’s the Limit - Review

The hype for this episode consisted of a surprise that would come from what a Good Samaritan did.  That storyline was the least interesting to me though I was, of course, horrified that the son of the man who was saved killed the son of the woman who saved him and all because of bigotry.abbyandluka.jpg

I guess I just care more for the plots that involve characters I have grown to know and love.  Abby and Luka for instance.  I cannot believe Luka hasn’t realized since he returned that Abby has been drinking again.  Or that one of their friends didn’t mention it to him during the day he spend in the ER.  But now it seems that he doesn’t really want to talk about it anyway.  Has he always been so in denial about problems in the past?

I’m glad to see Kari Matchett (recently of Invasion) doing well in this role, as Dr. Wexler, having been promoted, temporarily at least, by Anspaugh as they search for a new Chief to take Moretti’s place since he’s spending time with his son.  I thought it was interesting that she and Dubenko had gone on a date but, even more interesting, was how they actually ripped each other’s clothes off at the end of the show.  Did she really think he would have a hard time accepting a relationship with a woman who wants “no strings, just sex”?  Perhaps down the road he’ll think more fondly of Abby or Neela if Skye treats him badly, but in the meantime, what a ride!
