Journeyman - Winterland - Review

Dan tracked Abby, a teenager who dropped out and turned on in the early 70s.  Meanwhile, back in the present, the FBI were looking for the ransom money at his house, but Dan had taken it with him into the past.  When he found Abby hanging with some hippies who turned out to be armed robbers willing to kill Dan, he was able to talk Abby into walking out on her friends and, when sirens were heard and everyone panicked, Dan found his opportunity to dump the cash with the criminals.  The cops ran in just after Dan and Livia got out of the store and there was a shootout leaving only one woman of the original robbers to be taken in.  Bet her story about time travellers will be taken seriously!

Then we found out that Livia’s home base is 1948 and she travels in the future while Dan travels in the past.  She told Dan that she got stuck in the 1980s where it was easier for her to go to law school and then she met this great guy (Dan) and figured she’d spend the rest of her life with him but, when she was on the plane, she travelled again.

I found it interesting that closed captioning said the music playing at the end was “Can’t Find My Way Home” by Blind Faith, but in actuality the song played was “Miracles” by Jefferson Starship, a much more hopeful song for Abby and perhaps Dan.
