Sometimes things go your way and sometimes they don’t. Well that’s how this episode went.

It started with Dan’s brother, Jack, babysitting Zack, finding the stash of money Dan got on one of his time travel trips. So Jack, being a cop, had to take one of the bills and have someone look into it. And, of course, he found out the bill was one involved in the hijacking from way back.

But Dan’s having enough problems in the past. His previous self is at home sleeping one off so present-day Dan must get to a poker game in time for Katie to take him home drunk so they can bond and decide they’re destined to be together. How Back to the Future it is!

Just when we think Dan isn’t going to find the money needed to get into the game, Livia pops up with the bag of cash from the present. Seems she popped forward just in time to remove the bag before Jack came looking for it a second time. One thing leads to another, Katie gets Dan home from the game, the current-day Dan slips out and returns to present day just as Katie finds a sleeping Dan in his own bed.

So now the FBI is wondering where Jack got the bill from and they aren’t taking “we’re looking into it” as an answer. When push comes to shove, Jack breaks down and tells the FBI that he got it from his brother. Jack, get a backbone!

I love the new twist of our seeing Livia travel in time too!
