Had a great birthday today, not only did I find a great deal on a dvd player/recorder, I was given as a gift the first season of Showtime’s Dexter! I read the first two books before the series started, heard that the series was at least as good as the books (and they were wonderfully funny, creepy, and gory). So instead of getting Showtime, I held out for the DVDs. Watched the first episode already and what fun! I highly recommend not only the series but also the books, of which there is a 3rd just out recently. Dexter’s narration in both is humorous as well as sad, but this character is certainly one I’ve never seen before.
