The Gators will be heading out of town for the 2nd of 3 straight away games, playing the Kentucky Wildcats, the team who took out #1 LSU last week. That puts this game in a whole new light, especially since South Florida finally lost a game on Thursday and a 2-loss team like Florida might still have a chance if some of the other blockbuster undefeated teams should also sustain a loss before the end of the season.
It doesn’t hurt that U of F has a 20-game winning streak over the Wildcats that they hope will continue in Lexington. It is the 3rd longest current streak on the NCAA Major Division I Most Consecutive Wins Over a Major Opponent in an Uninterrupted Series list. What a mouthful!
