My TV Musings

Florida Gators are going to Baton Rouge this week to play the LSU Tigers.  They really have to bring it against what may be the best team out there, especially since they will be on LSU turf.  It won’t be easy and no one expects it to be.  As coach Urban Meyer said:

“We have a tremendous challenge going into this week.  I have been asked how this compares to last year and I think we are on a different planet than a year ago.  Our whole intent to make sure that we get better and that is it.  There is not going to be a big rally cry and have a bunch of slogans around here, it just has to get better.  The good thing is when I start reading off a bunch of young players who graded champions against Auburn, they have to prove it this week because we are playing probably one of the most talented teams in America.  I do not think I have seen any team more talented.”

The team is led by a sophomore, Tim Tebow, who knows that it takes hard work to win these games, and he is quoted here speaking about motivation for the LSU game:

“I think there is a lot that guys are going to take as motivation. That’s one of the things that he talks about that we’re going to do what made Coach Meyer’s program great in the past, outworking teams, winning special teams in games, going out  there and out-practicing people and having hard practices, doing everything right on and off the field and in the classroom. I think that is what we are going to try and get back to and go about everything that way.”

This week the team shouldn’t make the mistake of looking past LSU to upcoming games, but we can.  Here’s the rest of the season’s schedule:
