Prison Break is one of several returning shows that I look forward to seeing this fall. The series started 2 seasons ago when Michael Scofield robbed a bank in order to be incarcerated in Fox River State Penitentiary where his wrongly-accused brother was being held. A victim of a government conspiracy plotted from the very top of the political ranks, Lincoln Burrows’ death sentence was already scheduled to take place.
Season 1 was all about Michael’s using his tattoed body to plan an escape for himself and his brother. In planning the escape he made deals with some prisoners to take them along.
Season 2 was about what happened when they got out, including the FBI agents tracking them, some of whom were willing to betray the FBI to help the fugitives, and some who were part of the conspiracy, willing to kill the fugitives without bringing them back at all. Season 2 ended when Michael was arrested and thrown into a Panama prison. The brothers find their roles are reversed as Lincoln must now find a way to get Michael out. Worse yet, in prison with Michael is one of his arch-rivals, Bellick, a prison guard from Fox River who is after the bounty on the fugitives.
It should prove to be an exciting season upcoming. I highly recommend Prison Break to anyone who enjoys non-stop action and adventure, whether you’ve been able to see the first two seasons or not.
Season 3 starts on Fox 9/17
