Dead Zone - Drift - Review

When the cat’s away….Johnny would do well to at least check in with Sarah by phone when he goes away if he ever intends to get back in her good graces again. That VP just swoops right in and gets Sarah thinking seriously about him as a guy of great values and what a dad he would make! Never mind the hypocrisy: he preaches about global warming and yet he travelled by personal jet, Air Force 2 no less, from D.C. to Maine, Maine to Michigan and back in two days. But, of course, we’re not supposed to notice that.

As for Bruce, I’m glad he’s found a lady at last. And he sees that Johnny and Sarah belong together. The trick is: how can they get together when there’s another season following this one and nobody wants them to jump that shark. Although, Stillson has started to be more of a gray character than in the past.  Tortured by the death of his father when, even though only we and Johnny know it, he’s the one who killed him.

Looking at previews for tonight’s show, I was right about Jennifer Finnegan coming back once Close to Home was cancelled. I don’t expect her to become a regular but maybe she can be used to get Sarah jealous for a change. Didn’t anybody ever tell Johnny that the time to leave is NOT when the girl just hugs your competitor, that’s when he should step up and go beyond what Stillson and Sarah have become, strictly good friends at this point.
