Cordelia keeps getting hang up phone calls. And she’s still seeing her handicapped patient, Arthur. She dreams of a faceless wolf in grandma’s bed while dressed in a red cape walking in the woods. Could this get any creepier?

In the meantime, Anne does a dry run as mom to daughter of one of her friend’s, since his brain tumor is back and surgery is upcoming.

And Barry White, the young attorney, gets another visit from his dad, but this time he’s not just a figment, but the real thing, and on the run from the law.

Then Cordelia has a session with Arthur and confronts him about buying a gift for her as well as the hang up calls. He then stands up without the leg braces, walks over to her, drops a $20 bill on the table next to her chair, says “Thanks for dinner”, puts the leg braces back on and walks awkwardly down the stairs. Creepiest thing yet, and I’m sure he’s not done with her.

How can Anne continue to complain about whether it’s right for her to adopt her friend’s child if he dies when she signed up for all this by taking on the role of godparent. Don’t people realize it is not a frivolous thing to decide because you are signing on to be there for the child if the parents cannot be.

The problem became more apparent when Michael came over for a visit and brought canned clams. With Hazel in the house, Anne was unable to be the proper host.

Sure enough, Arthur blackmails Cordelia, saying she accepted flowers from him, paid for a meal he ate at a local diner, and hugged him in public, all which could be misconstrued as a love affair with a patient. Just pay him off and he won’t sue her for malpractice.

Anne’s friend came through his surgery and was reunited with his daughter, who realized that Anne wasn’t such a bad aunt, she had just really missed her dad.

Cordelia has been sharing her problem with Barry. What a touching scene it was when Barry and his dad put on leather gloves, got out of the car and proceeded to beat up Arthur. Despite the fact that we were led to believe that Arthur wouldn’t bother Cordelia again, the final scene was her cell phone as she let it ring and ring.
