My TV Musings

Dustin was had, but some of it is his own doing. He became quite arrogant as it got closer and closer to the vote, so Eric and Jessica decided to take Dick up on his offer to go to the final 4 with him and Daniele. Or did they? We never saw Eric telling Jessica the entire scenario nor did we see Daniele agree to it. This week we’ll find out just how much Daniele is willing to do what Dick promised.

I can’t believe Julie asked Jessica about whether there’s something other than just friendship between her and Eric. I mean, Eric is kind of cute, but he’s nowhere in Jessica’s league but maybe she’s into nerdy-looking guys as long as they’re fun to be around.

I was just about as surprised as Dustin that Jen voted him out. But I guess Dick has been making plans with everyone in some way and maybe not even in conflicting promises. Is it possible that Dick is the one and only person left in the game yet to lie? He may be tough to be around, but honesty might go a long way at the end.

There were some strange visitors to the Big Brother house this past week. I found the statue to be the most entertaining. I got the impression that the things they said would be taken to have more meaning. The questions for the HOH competition dealt more with the superficial than with the possible deeper meaning of the words spoken.

So now Daniele is HOH. I can’t believe I actually think I might have preferred Amber to Daniele. Amber cries at the drop of a hat and she would have cried so much if she had won. I think I despise Daniele so much because she made herself unlikable by clinging to Nick and, once he left, to her dad, and now she pretends everything she does is strategizing but that she doesn’t want to be thought of as connected to her dad even though they are now joined at the hip and she acts in lockstep with his wishes. I also think he’ll defer to her in the end when I really think it would be cool for him to win the whole thing. I just don’t see him doing anything but campaigning for her to win if they end up the final two and it is a damn shame.
