Doctor Who - Daleks in Manhattan, Part I - Review

I realize the Daleks and Doctor Who go way back to the original Doctor Who series, but I’m not all that excited to see them. I prefer the villains that look more up to date in their special effects. And those pig masks looked really cheesy after all the praise I’d been giving lately about good special effects.

We got a history lesson about 1930 Manhattan and Hooverville. I had heard of it but it was cool to see how it was set up and a perfect breeding ground for slave labor by the Daleks.

And what do you get when you cross a Dalek with a human?  Duh, a human Dalek, of course!  I thought it looked more like a human squid but what do I know.

Guess we have to tune in again this week to see where it goes.
