Jericho Update

Jericho is a show with extremely loyal fans. When the show was thought to be cancelled last spring, they sent tons of nuts to the CBS execs in New York and were rewarded with a second season, albeit only 7 episodes, which will start whenever one of CBS’ new shows either ends its run or is cancelled. Some are saying Kid Nation will be the first to fall, others Viva Laughlin. I’m trying out both of those this fall and would like to see Hugh Jackman (Viva Laughlin) stick around awhile.

In the meantime, episodes 16-19 will air on 8/3, 8/17, and 8/31 on CBS and a couple more will air on 9/14 and 9/21. Look at this CBS webpage for the entire first Season of Jericho.

Great article. Thanks. I think Kid Nation will be the first to fall. I think CBS tried to be adventurous but ended up getting too much controversy out of it. Even many affiliates didn’t like it.

I read somewhere that Kid Nation is already casting for a second season, so I’m not sure what’s up with that. Perhaps it can run on the internet successfully. More things are being televised there.

Thanks for the article. After seeing previews for Kid Nation, I don’t see why anyone would even want to watch it. It gets my vote for first to go. I can’t wait for the second season of Jericho!

I doubt “Kid Nation” will last too long, but my bet for first to go is “Viva Laughlin” or whatever it is called. The preview I saw looks stupid, and it looks like an lousy copycat of “Las Vegas” which I don’t really watch much either.

I’m extremely happy CBS has decided to reverse it’s decision about the cancellation of Jericho. The series is great and I truly hope that it gets episodes 8 all the way to 100.

I agree. I would also like to see Hugh Jackman stick around – I just don’t think that Viva Laughlin is the glue that will hold him here.

Thank you for writing about Jericho. It’s a wonderful show with a little bit of everything for just about everyone.

For those who haven’t seen it – check it out. You’ll be blown away and glued to your seat!

I have to go with Kid Nation being first to go….
Actually ~ either will do as long as it means Jericho is put on it its spot!

I am betting on Kid Nation – very poor concept for a reality show. eeeekkk

One has to wonder why CBS has a store for KN products and not for Jericho? Come on CBS, you need to do more promotion for Jericho!!
