Johnny and Turner finally work together to solve a crime. She seems to believe in his abilities to a degree at least. Her secret was that she couldn’t save her brother from jumping off a roof because he was drugged up and thought he could fly. So she was trying to locate his druggie friend, who may have spurred him onto the roof and the jump, because she was going to kill him.
Johnny helped talk her out of it and offered his ear in case she wanted to talk about it. But she made it clear this does not make them friends. I thought it was too soon to find out the whole of her mystery, and perhaps this is not all she’s keeping from him. She has said not to mention the Walt Bannerman case she’s working until Johnny has found proof that Walt did not commit whatever it is anyone thinks he may have done.
Next week’s preview looked interesting, something about a con woman on a train and a death.
