Will of Dr Who

The Doctor’s crushing hard on Rose, to the detriment of a possible relationship with Martha. He was dripping with irony every word he spoke when they lay side by side in bed. Will was probably right, she doesn’t have a chance with him, she might as well have stayed in 1599.

Loved the whole “political correctness gone mad” when Will calls her a lady of Blackmoor, a queen from Afrique!

Bubble bubble toil and trouble - why was it that the “mothers” were always ugly but the “daughter” could be pretty for brief periods?

It’s probably not a good idea to quote Shakespeare to him - he might just plagiarize you!

A few cool items:

  • Martha mentions Harry Potter and the Doctor says “wait until you read Book 7!”
  • When Martha asks what will happen to her if the world as we know it is destroyed in the 16th century and the Doctor says it’s be like Back to the Future and Marty McFly!
  • The Doctor and Will debating whether “To be or not to be” is pretentious.

The automatic writing of Shakespeare via the puppet was cool - I wonder how long that had been going on.

And Love’s Labours Won is lost forever.

The Doctor has no memory of becoming the sworn enemy of Queen Elizabeth I - and he was so excited to see her! I see an upcoming plotline.

Next week’s preview looked pretty cool too.Dr and Martha
