Standoff - Ex Factor

For all the policies the government had, why not one about two people who USED to have a relationship not working together in a high pressure situation? That would have solved this whole pissing contest between Cheryl and Sam.

But since they went there, Cheryl should have been more professional and picked one: either let Sam take the lead or take the lead herself. Not having seen the entire series, I was surprised to learn that Cheryl and Matt had been partners. That explained why he had more info about the Cheryl-Sam relationship than Emily did. I was thinking he was just the more insecure of them when he got all emotional about Sam. But he was just sticking up for his friend/boss.

Maybe Emily and Matt will learn something from this.Standoff Cast

Yes, the pilot episode reveals that Matt and Cheryl were partners for 5 years before she got promoted, which of course adds a level of tension to their working relationship now that she is his boss. However, I loved how they showed Matt’s loyalty to her as a partner and friend in this episode as she struggled to deal with her job and her emotions.

As for whether or not Matt and Emily learn anything from it, we get a definitive answer to that question with next week’s episode, so you’ll just have to tune in to see…
