Doctor Who - Runaway Bride

I can’t tell you how exciting it was to see the opening of this episode! First the Doctor and Donna trading “What the …” back and forth for awhile and then, once the evil Santas showed up, the chase down the freeway - how very realistic it all looked, not like some of the cheesy special effects from previous seasons! And the Indiana Jones-type music to make it just that much more suspenseful - it’s so good to have the Doctor back!

The Doctor true nature scared Donna, his perspective on life itself cannot be the same as ours because we haven’t been able to see all that he has. He’s bound to be cynical and yet is still in awe when watching the very hatching of the Earth.

It was sad when he remembered Rose but it’s hopeful for us because they might actually be able to get her to come back in some future season. I was glad this companion was a one-off and I look forward to the next episode when a new companion joins the Doctor.
