My TV Musings

Kail made a great move getting her alliance together early, approaching Mike, Zach and Nick, who labelled the alliance “Mrs. Robinson and her guys” - I’m pretty sure straight-laced Kail would not appreciate that characterization.

Can you believe the fuss Jen put up over her picture? If I was on the show I’d help her picture turn black and white as soon as possible and get her off the show.

The 3 pairs of folks who knew each other prior to the show all handled their situations differently:

• Jessica is off my favorites list and Carol is firmly on it after they agreed not to hold a grudge and then Jessica said in the diary room that she could never like someone who uses a curling iron on her hair - OMG, do people really judge people on such things?

• Joe finally decided to have a discussion with Dustin, then went off on him anyway, saying that the show was supposed to be about him (Joe), not about them. Dustin really does seem to be the mature one of the two, no matter which one is telling the truth.

• Evil Dick and Danielle seem to have the more emotional issue of the 3 pairs. I’m not sure I like Dick but it would be nice if we at least had a clue why he wasn’t around when she was growing up. Even with all his name dropping, Danielle does seem to be willing to work with him and get along, even if not have an all-out alliance.

I guess the reason Kail gave for choosing Amber and Carol was valid enough for the first week, but I am rooting for Carol to get the veto. I’m not sure which is more popular with the others, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Amber gets voted off just for allowing Dick to put his arm around her if for no other reason. He is kind of a creepy guy, sort of like what Tommy Lee will be like in about 5 years.
