Beware! Spoiler Alert! I will mention some of the surprise twists coming up this season so read at your own risk!

This season, like all seasons of Big Brother, will have a houseful of beautiful young people living together and competing against one another while strategizing how to kick the others out without being next on the chopping block themselves. I haven’t watched this series from the first season, but I picked it up in the middle of Season 3 and have been hooked ever since.

Last season was especially interesting, being an All Star show, and we got to meet Will Kirby and his sidekick, Mike (Boogie) Malin, who went on to win the whole thing. I was one of the ones rooting for the blonde, Janelle Pierzina, and she got very close to winning, as runner-up. But, when it was all said and done (or should I say, at the end of the day, as a friend of mine prefers to put it!) Mike DID win it, and I grudgingly give him, and his friend Will, kudos for playing the way they did, because they said from the start to everyone’s face that they should be voted off the show right away or they would win it and nobody took it seriously until it was too late. Their diary room antics were particularly priceless with their fake phone calls to each other that had us all rolling with laughter.

At random I’m going to pick Nick and Jessica to keep my eye on until I have time to get to know the contestants and make a better judgement call. Last season on Survivor I picked Alex from day 1 and he turned out to be quite a player until very close to the end.

But, back to Big Brother: on the premiere episode, some of the contestants will realize they are sharing the house with people from their past, some whom they may have never wanted to see again. Another twist is the use of what is being called “America’s Player.” One of the participants has been chosen to play this role and at the end of each episode viewers will be asked to answer a question that will cause this player to perform an action or complete a task, perhaps even to vote a specific player off the show. This player must not allow the other contestants to know s/he is playing this special role and, if the player can successfully complete 3 such tasks, they will be financially rewarded. Remember when the twins kept switching out for each other and nobody ever caught on, but they were never trusted again once the truth was out?

This season could prove to be at least as exciting as any other season, but you’ve got to tune in to watch, whether you watch on CBS alone or if you pay for the 24-hour computer feed. Personally I just watch the tv shows for this one and I find it fun to keep away from spoilers so PLEASE post comments for this with Spoiler Alert clearly in BOLD at the top of your comment if you have special insight that others may not.
