The finale seemed pretty anti-climactic after the fast forward in time episode a few weeks ago. I was hoping for more than just Nathan flying Peter into the sky to blow up. I guess it’s a big deal that Nathan came around to being a good guy instead of giving in to his mother’s plan, but I’m wondering now whether Peter can survive the explosion and fly back.
I think it was a good idea for Hiro to be the one moving forward to the next season, he is the most likeable of all the heroes. And it’s not clear that he’ll stay in the year 1671 but it will be interesting to see what happens there. No telling what the other heroes will do in New York.
I notice the spinoff series Origins appears to be a reality show of a kind: we get to meet some new Heroes characters and vote for which one joins Heroes as a regular.

i thought that the heroes finale was awful. the last 2 episodes were terrible. they rushed it so much. tim kring said he wanted to finish the story line every series (unlike lost that never answers the questions), but they ended it so badly. there is hardly any build up to the finale and the last 2 episodes are so rushed.
i was a massive heroes fan before. but i’m not excited to watch the next series. the start of series 2 is sooooo lame. hero in the 1600s? what a joke. looks so amateur.
they could have finished heroes in 27 episodes and made it 1 of the best series ever. but they really ruined it and rushed it by finishing in 23 episodes.
all the heroes just suddenly end up in NYC. hardly any build up. and then suddenly a bunch of heroes show up when peter is going to explode. they just appear out of nowhere. also, the cheerleader can shoot peter so that he dies temporarily – he can heal and will be back. why do they make such a big deal about shooting him and why does his brother sacrifice his life when there are much easier alternatives. also, why can’t peter fly up by himself? they could also just hit peter over the head and knock him unconscious so that he doesn’t explode.
they should show peter’s bro and mum’s argument too.

i think nathan might acquire peter’s powers in the explosion and the mum is behind it all and has planned it all. i think the mum can maybe see the future. she definitely has some sort of power.
and what’s the black old guy’s power that peter looks after in the past?
nathan and peter will be enemies in a future series. it’s such a comic book ending. there will be a showdown between peter and nathan like in the future episode when peter and sylar fight.
