I used to watch this show faithfully. After all, who doesn’t love D’Onofrio’s Thor in Adventures in Babysitting or the bug creature in Men in Black? I even enjoyed a few seasons of the show with his quirky character, but after awhile it seemed like the same old thing, so I let L&O:CI go. Then Chris Noth joined the show and I started watching the episodes he was in. He and D’Onofrio alternated weeks to give Vincent some time off to rest. Noth first got Annabella Sciorra as a partner and they worked together well. Then she left and Julianne Nicholson took her place and I got bored and stopped watching again. Well, now they’re making more changes it seems.
Even though this show has been renewed, it is moving to sister station USA Network, followed by reruns on NBC. And I hear that budget cuts may cause D’Onofrio to leave. Case in point: note the finale without him anywhere in sight. I’ll enjoy watching Logan and Eames work together. Perhaps that’ll be the way of things to come.
