I have to say Woo Hoo, America finally got it right kicking out Sanjaya! Not too surprised Lakisha is in the bottom 3, but BLAKE? What? Chris needs to go before Blake. And Jordan and Melinda are fighting it out to the end!

But, I digress…This Tuesday and Wednesday, American Idol Gives Back - do they really need to do this on our American Idol show? Haven’t they given enough already? If you recall, I was happy with Peter Noone and Lulu!

Anyway, Tuesday night is our regular performance night for the remaining 6 contestants, but American Idol Gives Back comes into play when you vote: for each vote, sponsors will make a donation to Charity Projects Entertainment Fund to help children and young people in the USA and Africa. It’s nice to see that some of the donations will help children right here in the USA as well as in Africa.

The Wednesday concert special is going to be chockful of so many performers that EVERYONE will find someone they want to watch. I was surprised and pleased to hear that Miss Independence Kelly Clarkson finally got off her high horse and decided to “give back” some herself, to the American Idol show that made her famous. I’m sure she’ll sing beautifully as always, so you should probably watch just for that. Also in attendance will be Helena Bonham Carter, Sacha Baron Cohen (Borat), Rowan Atkinson (Mr. Bean), Hugh Grant, Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), Keira Knightley, Annie Lennox, Il Divo and other stars who will put on an “extravaganza” in the Walt Disney Concert Hall. It appears that at least Annie Lennox and Il Divo should be able to sing, so maybe it won’t be completely without singing talent! I’ll bet Daniel Radcliffe will NOT be giving a sample of his latest on-stage performance.
