Lost

What can I say about Lost? I could go on about John Locke and how, despite his luck in regaining use of his legs when he arrived on the island, he appears to be one of the most unlucky characters on the show.

What with allowing the computer to be destroyed and causing the implosion, to playing a chess game and blowing up the only place on the island anyone has found so much material on Dharma that they could get all the answers they ever wanted, to being a pawn to one of the most evil characters on the island by blowing up the submarine, his luck has got to improve.

Or I could say that it’s obvious the only people left on the beach who might help the prisoners are Sawyer and Desmond and maybe Jin (because he’ll go anywhere with anybody to help them out) or maybe those two new characters (see pics below) the writers can’t decide what to do with.

But I won’t, I’ll just say that the show continues to entertain me so I keep on watching, never knowing where it will go, perhaps a lot like the writers.

Yeah, I’ve got to agree. The first 2 years I was REALLY hooked! The complex connection of relationships, the bit of mystical (quantum physics?) aspects of the show, the large number of interesting characters….
But lately it seems we’re getting “more of the same”… I suppose those aspects are still there, but it’s all about those same (now fewer) main characters, and we’re not really getting (enough) insight in to any new ones.
I do keep looking forward to the next episode each week, but I find my expectations of satisfaction are getting lower and lower.

On an UP note… This “box” sounds pretty interesting! And this ability with Desmond to know the future has got me wondering too. I’ve heard some rumors that the writers are looking to wrap the show up either this season (too soon?) or next, and so I’m looking forward to getting more episodes with more answers.

I heard something about the end of the show being planned as well, correlating to the 100th episode which allows for lucrative syndication rights.
